I’ve recently finished mixing the as yet untitled 2nd album from The Reads. The album has been recorded and mixed at The Charlatans Big Mushroom studios in Cheshire, and is due to be mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey road later this month.
The album has a rawer sound than Stories From The Border, yet still retaining the cinematic feel that is a big part of their writing. We tried to achieve more with less layers, and I love the space afforded to the arrangements , which showcase the songs and Stu’s vocals.
The album should be ready for release by the spring…
