9 September 2011 – Matthew Whittaker
It’s difficult for me to say how much I love Matthew’s music. I first worked with him back in 2007 with his then band “The Whiskycats”, and was immediately blown away by the energy and musicianship of the band.
4 years on, and Matthew has written an amazing album showcasing his vocal and guitar prowess. Songs like “You Can Only Let Us Down” and “Feud” are songs of our times, documenting stark political observations whilst “Tidy Up” is more simply about whose turn it is to do the dishes!
The album features the amazing drums of Sam Draper from “The Whiskycats”, and we recorded the album over 5 days at Eve studios last month. Last week we worked on vocals, and I hope we can get this album in the bag as soon as poss…Watch this space.
